"As my husband and I waved goodbye to Harald, my four year daughter piped up from the backseat saying, "I can't wait to come back here." Everyone, including her baby brother and the dog, agreed. What a wonderful week.

We stayed in the Elk cabin which was recommended to us by Kim for its perks for younger children. From a practical standpoint it was perfect for our needs. All of us on one level, close to the beach, yet still enough of a walk to keep toddlers from reaching it easily. The cabin was perfectly cool and clean. More than enough beds for the kids, as well as room for the playpen. We were able to gate our dog on the large balcony when we were down at the water - and what a view did she have.

The whole drive home we debated what our favourite part of the week was. Was it our morning hikes, sunning and swimming at the lake, watching the kids catch tadpoles, our private fire pit for evening marshmallows, nightly fishing where my daughter caught her first trout? The debate is still ongoing.

Needless to say we will be back. From a young family's perspective this place is easy, relaxing, not overwhelming for small children, welcoming, and so beautiful. Not to mention how accommodating and inviting Harald and Kim are."
